NFL Wildcard Week Predictions 2013
So, the season is done and dusted. Most teams and supporters dreams are over for another year. However, for a select few, the Playoffs are here, and that means one thing. The Wildcards!
Cincinnati Bengals @ Houston Texans
Everything seems to point to a Cincinnati win here, what with the lackluster end to the season the Texans had, plus the fact that their secondary are really struggling currently. Not exactly something you want to see when A.J. Green is on the loose. However, as strong as the Bengals are in D#, their rush D# isn’t as strong in comparison. I just don’t see the Bengals making up for last year here. Big day for Arian Foster and time for the Houston secondary to step up to help with the win.
Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens
What a season the Colts have had under the arm of Luck. The Ravens defense have been under immense pressure recently due to injuries and in all likelihood, should be taken apart by a maturing Colts offense. Colts should win this game on paper, however with the added incentive of knowing this is Ray Lewis’ final season and even the possibility that he could be starting – the Ravens will be no pushover. In fact, they should push the Colts over. Ravens to win.
Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Redskins
This has the making of a close one! Griffin seems to think he is fine – however Washington shouldn’t be too concerned, what with Alfred Morris running around for fun recently. Both teams have a less than impressive record defending against the run this season – however Seattle just sneak the stats, and this game. Lynch will be tasting the rainbow!
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers
This Vikings game comes down to one factor, Adrian Peterson. The man who carries the team. Unlikely that his firepower will be enough to deny the Packers this win. The Vikings allow too much though the air to big QB’s. Expect to see Rodgers throw 300+ with 3TD’s to progress to the next stage of the playoffs.

For info, with regards to Green Bay. There’s a great 5 Live podcast online, that can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/5lspecials
Darren Fletcher spends a week with the Cheeseheads. Really is worth a listen.
Go Ravens! Learning all the time with NFL. The more I watch, the more I get addicated and learn. Shame the time difference kills it on a Sunday night.
Roll on Superbowl….with the Ravens!
GO BENGALS! WHO DEY! I have marveled at the exploits of Texans QB Matt Schaub and RB Arian Foster, but my loyalties are with my team. I see it being a close game.
As for the Colts, I would like to see them win, as I have a dislike for the Ravens but home-field advantage always seems to win them more games than it loses.
Although I’d like to see the Vikes progress, I think the Pack have too much on offence for their divisional rivals, but their defence isn’t the best, so Ponder and Peterson could be in with a shout.
Very impressed by the Seahawks and Russ Wilson, and I’m also a fan of RGIII, but I fancy the Seahawks to win.
Big fan of RGIII myself, seeing as I managed to draft him waaay down in my fantasy league this year!
Good luck tomorrow night! I agree, if your d# can hold up, you could nick it! What’s your issue with the Ravens?!
Aside from being our divisional rivals, I find them infuriating purely for the fact that they win so many games despite their QB Flacco being as dodgy as Mark Sanchez.
Perhaps I’m jealous of how much fortune they enjoy the benefits of?
